Card through glass trick

1. The Card and Glass Preparation

Before you can dazzle your audience with the Card Through Glass trick, you need to gather the necessary materials:

♣A Playing Card: Choose a standard playing card, preferably one with a simple design for better visibility.

♣A Glass Window or Frame: Pick a clean glass surface, such as a window or a picture frame.

2. Mastering the Sleight of Hand

♣Step 1: Secretly Fold the Card: Fold the playing card in half lengthwise, making sure to keep the fold hidden from the audience. This will be the card you appear to push through the glass.

♣Step 2: Display the Card: Hold the folded card in a natural position with the fold facing your palm.

♣Step 3: Misdirect Your Audience: While displaying the card, use verbal and non-verbal cues to direct your audience's attention away from the card. Engaging patter and eye contact can be helpful here.

3. The Illusion

♣Step 4: Push the Card Through the Glass: Act as though you are physically pushing the folded card through the glass. Keep your hand behind the glass to hide the actual card and manipulate the folded card's position.

♣Step 5: Gradually Unfold the Card: Slowly unfold the card as you pull it back through the glass. This should give the illusion that the card is penetrating the glass.
